Case study
Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium

Anchor has been providing maintenance services to the centre since 2015. As well as delivering the regular planned and reactive maintenance to all the installed building services, Anchor has been involved in various projects including the design and installation of a new energy efficient lighting scheme and the creation of a new café and visitors area.
One of the main drivers for the Centre has been to minimise energy usage and to demonstrate the use of technology in the building operations. As part of an ongoing project Anchor has just completed the installation of a new intelligent building control system to help reduce energy usage, improve the operation of the building systems and tackle the challenging maintenance requirements of the centre.
All visits are co-ordinated around the opening hours of the centre and our delivery model is flexible and supports the education objectives the centre provides.
